Cordialement,

Weird.. No place to enter the calendar URL. Settings just shows a gray box, no entry fields.

Would be cool if the Agenda Week Month Event Mail links/buttons could be hidden completely to get more vertical space.

@postlux - paste it into that "1st html calendar link" field - and it should work! I just said WTF and tried it. As soon as you hit OK, it should show your email address at the top so you know it's seeing your calendar.

Nice Calendar app, thank you. How do I set the color for each calendar? I need them to match my Google Calendar.

hey johnnyeuk, how do i "copy and paste the html into the netvibes widget"?
8 | Posted by johnnyeuk | 29/08/2012 11:36:57
Just a comment for anyone looking for full google calendar functionality: You can embed your google calendar in an HTML widget rather than a custom widget. To do this, open your google calendar in your browser, click on settings and then calendars and select a calendar. There is a section called "Embed This Calendar" with a "Customize..." link that will help you to select colours, add other calendars etc. To get it to resize properly, change the width to 100% - note the percent. Then just copy and paste the html into the netvibes widget.

It fails but if I hit the go back to previous page link in the fail page the calendar displays. ???? Is there a solution to this or is it just another failed netvibes widget?

@thury: it seems there is some new "security" restriction from Google : https://support.google.com/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1631300

Really love this app, but I own a home business and I have several calendars including family calendars and work calendars. I tried other calendar apps and they all had room for lots of calendars, but the apps themselves didn't work. I would like to use your app, but I will miss important events and appointments if I do. I noticed I'm not the only one who is having this problem. You've been asked by several users to add the ability to have more calendars. Any idea when you're going to add that?

Hi. Thanks for your great calendar app. I keep getting this message: WARNING: Public access to this calendar has not been enabled. You should change your sharing settings before sharing this address with others. I don't want to make my calendar public. Any chance you could put a close box in the upper right corner, so I can close the message after I've seen it?

How lovely: haven't been having any ads in the calendar for the last few days. Thanks a lot for ridding us of them!
14 | Posted by beurt | 08/06/2011 14:45:29
As soulbarn2 below I have a lot of calendars (one for each project/tasks) it'll be lovely to have more than four in this nice widget.

I sent a report to Netvibes, and received a response that they were aware of the problem and that a fix was coming, but obviously nothing has been done yet. It's too bad, because it was a useful widget; now, it's just an annoyance...
19 | Posted by gregfoley | 30/03/2011 23:08:42
Who cares about the ads? Just fix it! I can't find another good calendar for Netvibes.
20 | Posted by phaedrus | 30/03/2011 14:44:58
I used to really like this widget, but as has been pointed out, it stopped working when Firefox 4 was introduced. If the author doesn't want to fix it, it should be removed, or a disclaimer added that it doesn't function under the newest version of Firefox.

I'm also seeing my events show up in the wrong day-boxes in full month view... everything is progressively 2 days earlier after every week. Noticed it first on December 3.
33 | Posted by alanjuk | 05/12/2010 17:36:54
Yep same problem here too.
34 | Posted by chapple1 | 03/12/2010 9:21:37
I'm seeing the same problem that maida01 reports. The monthly view has started showing events on the wrong day of the week. The first event of a week is showing in the first column no matter what day of the week it's scheduled for.
35 | Posted by maida01 | 03/12/2010 4:41:02
philou, thanks for provide very nice tool. But from this morning, 12/2 in Tokyo, it shows wrong column. Like this widget forget tab for none schedule days and all schedule events' days are listed from left hand side. If no schedule other than Saturday, Saturday schedule is showed at left hand side as Sunday schedule. Appreciate your kind understanding and fixing it.
36 | Posted by timurtabi | 15/10/2010 14:07:20
I found a bug, I think. The app will not show any all-day events that occur today. That is, if today is October 15th, and the Google calendar has an all-day event on October 15th, then you won't see it in Agenda mode. Even if you scroll back to previous days, the event won't show up. Future all-day events are shown, however.

One of the best widgets so far. However, I'm waiting for two things. First being that colours do not match, so if you have multiple calendars it is quite confusing. Secondly, is it too much if I had to ask to include support for more than 4 calendars? I haven't added more than for in Google Calendar for the simple reason that I use this widget to view the calendar rather than the actual google calendar... so please I would really appreciate if you could do something! Thanks. Dan

For some reason, this widget no longer works for me in igoogle.
39 | Posted by nisjunk | 01/06/2010 11:07:28
Again: Provide "delete" for events: its a pain to use more info hand wait for calendar to open.
40 | Posted by nisjunk | 18/04/2010 22:18:29
Provide "delete" for events. i tried to click "more info" and then (in google caledar edit box) tried "delete" but here, the google delete button does not work. Thus it would be important to delete events directly from the widget.

Hi phil ! Thanks for this. It helps me a lot in everyday tasks. However, as xandrani said recently, the colors used in google is different from yours. Hope you'll find a proper answer to this :-)

Can´t login to Google Calendar using my Google Apps-Account with my own Domain :-(
43 | Posted by xandrani | 19/03/2010 6:29:50
Great widget! :) :) Any chance of getting the colours used for different calendars in google to be the displayed correctly (i.e. the same as) in your widget. That would really polish it, but not sure if that information is easily available... I'm sure there's some hack to do it though.

Environment: Netvibes Google Calendar Widget by Phil version 1.5 on IE8 with 1280x800 screen resolution and Netvibes layout set to display 3 vertical boxes of equal width. Browser is maximized. Problem: Set Calendar widget in Month view. In the environment described above, the calendar displays a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the widget that is almost, but not quite the full width indicating the calendar is just a few pixels too wide for the 3-up Netvibes columns. Click any event on the calendar. The event pop-up bubble is truncated on the right side preventing the full bubble content from being viewed. For example, the pop-up close box is truncated in half by the right margin of the widget. The pop-up has a scroll bar also but clicking either the bar (to grab and move it) or scroller's right arrow causes the pop-up bubble to disappear. Also, Comments Feed not valid or not responding: http://eco.netvibes.com/rss/user/13905/widgets/comments

Could you possibly add the "showPrint=0|1"-option to the java script? Don't need it in the gadget but I can't deactivate as long as your javascript does not support this option.
48 | Posted by mekk | 30/06/2009 11:14:25
oh yes. i use it on the vista sidebar. It is a .gadget file. Where else can i use it? On klick the render Calender shows and works all fine. I only can`t insert my own html link. Thank you for your help.
49 | Posted by philou | 30/06/2009 10:19:12
@mekk: you use it in the windows side bar? I never test my widget on windows side bar... I will look at it, there is perhaps a bug...
50 | Posted by mekk | 30/06/2009 9:19:29
thanks for your fast answer. 1. I found the link to my calender. 2. I have to copy the link in the first field, after hitting the edit button on the widget on this page?! am i right? Then i have to download the gadget?! Because there is no edit-button on my sidebar gadget like there is one on the calender-widget on this page. I tried downloading with Firefox, IE7 and Opera and the gadget still says:"You must set a Html link.." Perhaps i can add the html link manually in the code, if you tell me where to put it. Thanks a lot!
51 | Posted by philou | 30/06/2009 8:46:46
@mekk: the html link should be add in the first field of settings, when you click on the "edit" link at the top of thr widget... To find your HTML link : http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37103 Have you try to remove and reinstall the widget? Wich navigator do you use? IE, Firefox, ...?

Hello Phil, I added the widget and its GREAT but all the meeting are 3 hours late. i am gussing that the local time should be defined but i dont see where. can you please assist? thx, ohad
56 | Posted by strully | 23/02/2009 13:51:39
Wonderful widget, except every so often it'll add "Formula one Championship 2008" to my list of calendars, which will then screw up the time zone or something. This really oughta be rectified, as I rely on this widget something fierce.
57 | Posted by philou | 14/01/2009 1:45:13
I will add an option to switch local time... when I Will have a few time...
58 | Posted by arnaudseninge | 13/01/2009 16:13:14
Me again! I am having the same problem as before but in the opposite direction: I flew back to France and I can not switch the local time from Eastern Time to GMT+1 in the widget (and this time the problem did not solved by itself without me doing anything)...
59 | Posted by skiwoman | 07/12/2008 13:34:44
Hi, I have no clue why it's not working. I "edited" the gadget, entered my google calendars' html addresses, everything is fine in the preview. But if I install it to my Vista Sidebar, all I get is the "Formula Championship 2008" calendar. What can I do??
60 | Posted by arnaudseninge | 01/11/2008 7:37:49
I have no clue why and how: my time zone problem just fixed itself this day without having me doing anything... why not? so if u have some trouble with it, just wait for a few days...
61 | Posted by arnaudseninge | 29/10/2008 3:18:48

68 | Posted by blizeh | 09/07/2008 10:03:56
Hi, really love the extension, but just a couple of questions :) 1. Is there anyway to have an automatic height? I only ask because I often only have one or two items in the calendar so it doesn't make good use of the space. 2. Anyway to remove the padding from agenda view? The blue border thing, likewise with the bit at the bottom with the timezome and a link to the calendar. Thanks :)

I'd also like to be able to use more calendars. I use GCal with Remember the Milk, so RTM takes up 2 calendars on its own; one for adding new tasks, and one for task due dates.

I love this widget. It's very useful. A minor question: I think that the font size of Agenda is so big, any way to reduce it?
75 | Posted by lukbut_1 | 26/03/2008 21:02:13
hey sorry i took so long to reply, nope it doesnt work. there are no options you can configure and you're stuck with the ghana world cup calendar.
76 | Posted by philou | 21/03/2008 15:30:27
And here : http://groups.google.com/group/google-calendar-help-howto/browse_thread/thread/9f95f4f3ef286904/6621384382e2d3a9 So, it should be possible to embed multiple private calendars and allow certain users (with whom you've added to the calendar's shared list) to view your embedded calendar when they are signed in to Google Calendar. But, it's not currently possible to embed multiple private calendars and allow non-Google Calendar users or folks who aren't logged in to see those calendars.
77 | Posted by philou | 21/03/2008 14:58:52
From Google : http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en-in&answer=82902 If you're embedding multiple calendars but are seeing the error message "Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them," it may be because one or more of the selected calendars is private. Keep in mind that it's not possible to display a private calendar and a public calendar in the same embeddable calendar.

At the moment all I have is one private personal calendar which works fine and then the google public holidays one, which doesn't work with my private one. If not is there a way to cover the public to a private? Cheers, great work.

I tried to drop the URL of the calendar into your widget but none of the events migrated. Very very frustrating. Maybe I should go back to chalk on a slate. Any idea what I'm doing wrong, or am I trying to do something the widget's not designed to do? curthopkins @ gmail dot com.

"For private calendars, use private urls with a PRIVATE key" could someone help me with this? where do i obtain the private key.. i get the whole private url deal but i can't see my calendar without having it open in another browser tab.. etc
101 | Posted by philou | 27/11/2007 16:19:20
Yes, it's possible... Perhaps in new release...
102 | Posted by mdenev | 21/11/2007 23:55:10
Hi, the widget is great! What I would like to see is to enter more than four calendars. Is it possible to do it?
103 | Posted by RZ | 07/11/2007 3:05:52
Yep - works great. Thanks!
104 | Posted by philou | 07/11/2007 0:27:01
Ok, it should works now...

I replaced my personal information in the below link (domain.com, email@domain.com, and the pvttk) https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/domain.com/embed?src=email@domain.com&pvttk=KEY

Ok, I never test my module with this kind of calendar... Can you give me an example of a private html link for hosted calendar ?
107 | Posted by RZ | 05/11/2007 22:02:23
It is the "Google Apps" version (it was previously known as Hosted): http://www.google.com/a/
108 | Posted by philou | 05/11/2007 19:46:14
Russell : what do you mean with "hosted" calendar?
109 | Posted by RZ | 31/10/2007 16:13:53
Phil - is this supposed to work with hosted calendars? I tried adding my hosted calendar (private html link) and I get an error.
110 | Posted by philou | 26/10/2007 14:51:20
j. : I don't add that functionality because I don't want to manage Google authentication. And you have the link : "Create event"... Colours : "not see the time" => what do you want to say? there is a "Date" option in the module. Is it this? I will add background color in next release...
111 | Posted by viltoft | 25/10/2007 18:04:07
Im using a theme (dark one) but this widget doesnt use theese colours so it looks kind a bright compared to the rest of my netvibes page .... What about a function to not see the time in the calendar ?
112 | Posted by jvanpelt | 16/10/2007 23:21:01
"***How about "ajax" type insert boxes to add appointments? " I second this request, though it seems like it may be a limitation of the calendar being in an iframe?? The calendar works - or more accurately, fails -- in the same way on http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper.html, where it is also in an iframe. Without that functionality, the google calendar is just not the same.
113 | Posted by philou | 03/10/2007 13:30:38
LW : your calendars are public or private? Multiples calendriers only works if all your calendars are publics... It's a bug or limitation of google...

thanks for this great module. only problem I have is I can't get it to display more than two calendars. it won't paste in a third calendar url, and when I typed one in the space, it didn't show up and when I looked back the url was somehow erased. any ideas? thanks
115 | Posted by davidk007 | 01/10/2007 10:59:13
Great!!! Thank you very much for this module. It works!!!
116 | Posted by ekopta | 30/09/2007 4:45:47
It works wonderfully, but there is one glitch when I use a calendar from a google-hosted account. Our work email is hosted by google, so it's still gmail but the url is slightly different (mail.google.com/a/ourdomain.com/ ...etc). The events appear, but all the times are 7 hours early. We're in the US Pacific time zone (GMT +08:00). Is there any way I can tweak this into working?

dear philippe, thanks so much for the quick reply. i use a flash drive at work running a linux distro which although showing the correct time, was not properly set for eastern daylight time. all is well in the world now. least i wish it was. thanks for you time and wonderful widget
118 | Posted by philou | 28/09/2007 16:35:12
if you try to configure your calendar here : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper.html => have you got the same problem? if yes, it's a Google bug...
119 | Posted by selavyrrose | 28/09/2007 15:23:55
thank you for this widget. i have a single problem with it, which seems an easy one to solve, yet i've been unable to. i am in the eastern us time zone. my netvibes is set "est" and my google calendar is set "est", yet when i schedule a time on my calendar it shows up 6 hours later on my widget. any simple solutions staring me in the face here? tia, rrose

Bonsoir, Dave:when I will have time, i will do it :) Babbapt: En fait, l\'affichage des calendriers multiples ne marche que si tout les calendriers sont publics OU si tu es loggué sur GCalendar...

Salut!
123 | Posted by savethedave | 25/09/2007 16:26:44
Fantastic! Would be nice to have more calendars... say 10
124 | Posted by philou | 21/09/2007 11:31:52
Ok, I will add a color selector option for each calendar...

Hello, your module is amazing and it works great for me. Thank you for your work. One suggestion, I love the new feature of different colours for different calendars, but it is not the colour I would like. Can I somehow choose from several colours for a calendar, like in the Google interface? Anyway, I have tried several GCal modules, and yours works just right. Thanks again.

New version 1.4 : ++ Display each calendar in a different color... <melps> : For private calendars, use private urls with a PRIVATE key, like : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mymail@gmail.com&pvttk=privateKey
127 | Posted by tibuski | 19/09/2007 10:47:18
EXCELLENT !!! I was looking for months :) Lot better than the popular one ! As asked by melps, a different color by calendar should be nice !

Ver 1.3 Great widget. Using it with Google. Having four Calendar Link is great. Suggestions: >Display each link in a different color. >Include Google sign-in as an option for private calendars.
129 | Posted by philou | 18/09/2007 15:32:44
Your calendar seems to be private... So your calendar url should have a PRIVATE key, like : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mymail@gmail.com&pvttk=privateKey For help to find the PRIVATE url, go here : http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37103

I just saw that you created a new version to fix a \"huge bug\" and I thought it would address my problem, but it didn\'t. This is a fantastic widget. However, the calendar will only show my information if, in another tab, I go to Google Calendars, see my stuff, shut down that tab, and refresh Netvibes. Its odd, I know, but it happens on multiple computers. Thanks.

New version 1.3 : **Optimisations for "specials" urls like b`rad 's one...
132 | Posted by skl | 11/09/2007 1:10:55
The error "Sorry, Calendar is unavailable." is a google error... Your HTML calendar link is ok? It should be someting like : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=yourname@gmail.com
133 | Posted by guest | 10/09/2007 22:39:46 | Delete
I still cannot get this to work after 1.2. I have deleted and re-added the module. I keep getting error "Sorry, Calendar is unavailable."
134 | Posted by skl | 10/09/2007 20:44:30
Sorry, it is a bug in my module... New version 1.2 : --Correction of a bug...
135 | Posted by skl | 10/09/2007 16:29:40
Yes, the module is buggy, but I think it's a bug of Netvibes... I have open a thread for it in developpers forum...
136 | Posted by guest | 10/09/2007 15:31:52 | Delete
I cant get this to work :( the only think i got was a calendar about rugby... even if i remove all calendars, seems it replace my own calendars with the rugby one. I think about some kind of brainwashing to put me watch the match... (lol :D)
137 | Posted by skl | 09/09/2007 17:50:37
Which OS, navigator please? Try to remove my module, then re-add it to your Netvibes, and setup your calendar again... And if you want, you can send me your calendar url at philippe.granet+netvibes at gmail.com, it will help me to solve the problem...

Hi! Since the version 1.1 I have no longer access to my calendar! I don't know why! Please can you help? Thanks in advance!

Wow! This version 1.1 is great! Thank you.

New version 1.1 : ++ Week view added ++ Multiple calendars support added ** Some optimisations...
141 | Posted by guest | 06/09/2007 20:24:51 | Delete
I'd love this if I could do either of these: use week view (currently you can only choose month or agenda view) or select a limit for the agenda view. The agenda view pulls every single thing on the calendar including holidays. Otherwise, I love this module.

Hi, I´ve solved the problem. I just deleted the module from my site and added it newly. Now It works again! Thank You!!! Great Module!

Hi, thanks for the tip, but still not working after second time opening netvibes. Is it possible that there is a problem with 2 pc´s from a different location opening netviebs with this module? Thanks TUllm
145 | Posted by skl | 13/08/2007 11:07:52
Try to replace '%40' by '@'
146 | Posted by guest | 08/08/2007 13:13:16 | Delete
Hi, but there ist no format string in it. it looks like this: http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=test%40gmail.com&pvttk=b67b334d1e50faf3682d18d9e84d8c3d It works, but only the first time when i save . . . Thanks Tullm
147 | Posted by guest | 07/08/2007 17:31:15 | Delete
Hi Tullm, I had the same problem until I read Philippe's message. Just supress in the URL all the format settings. And now its much better, the format of the calendar will automatically fit to the size of the widget.

Sorry, no way to change the display of the time ! I use this Google service : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper_en.html and the date format is not modifiable. But you can ask Google to add this parameter ;-)
151 | Posted by guest | 17/07/2007 4:02:39 | Delete
I really love this calendar, it works great. Is there a way to change the display of the time so it's not in the 24hour format?
152 | Posted by guest | 09/07/2007 22:14:44 | Delete
This is the Google Calendar module to go with, especially since it works with private calendars. On My Calendars, click the drop-down menu of the calendar you want to view, and select Calendar settings. In the Private Address section click the HTML link, then the Configuration Tool. In the code that's generated just copy the http part up the semicolon ";" before height.
