Very interesting!!!!
2 - Michael, 09/07/2007 15:10:29
This works really well! Is there a way to have the widget open in Agenda view?

Thanks again!
3 - Michael, 09/07/2007 15:12:26
Whoops, just found it. Sorry!
4 - Sharon, 09/07/2007 22:14:44
This is the Google Calendar module to go with, especially since it works with private calendars. On My Calendars, click the drop-down menu of the calendar you want to view, and select Calendar settings. In the Private Address section click the HTML link, then the Configuration Tool. In the code that's generated just copy the http part up the semicolon ";" before height.
5 - Cindy, 17/07/2007 4:02:39
I really love this calendar, it works great. Is there a way to change the display of the time so it's not in the 24hour format?
6 - Philippe, 18/07/2007 23:48:23
Sorry, no way to change the display of the time ! I use this Google service : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper_en.html and the date format is not modifiable. But you can ask Google to add this parameter ;-)
7 - Flip, 02/08/2007 10:47:52
I Like this module, better than others out there... now to my Qs:
***Is there or will there be support for multiple calendars?
***How about "ajax" type insert boxes to add appointments?
thx,flip

Hi, have a problem with this nice tool. I can enter the HTML-URL and i can see my calendar. but when i close the page and reopen netviebs i have a error code in the module " Bad Request 400". Then I can go into the option and just klick save and i can see the calendar! Whathappens here?

Thank you

TUllm
9 - Anne, 07/08/2007 17:31:15
Hi Tullm, I had the same problem until I read Philippe's message. Just supress in the URL all the format settings.
And now its much better, the format of the calendar will automatically fit to the size of the widget.
10 - Tullm, 08/08/2007 13:13:16
Hi,

but there ist no format string in it.

it looks like this:
http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=test%40gmail.com&pvttk=b67b334d1e50faf3682d18d9e84d8c3d

It works, but only the first time when i save . . .

Thanks

Tullm
11 - Philippe, 13/08/2007 11:07:52
Try to replace '%40' by '@'
12 - Tullm, 15/08/2007 20:32:51
Hi, thanks for the tip, but still not working after second time opening netvibes.

Is it possible that there is a problem with 2 pc´s from a different location opening netviebs with this module?

Thanks

TUllm
13 - Philippe, 21/08/2007 15:40:09
I don't understand the problem...
Can you give me more details?
14 - tullm, 22/08/2007 9:19:34
Hi,

I´ve solved the problem. I just deleted the module from my site and added it newly. Now It works again!

Thank You!!!

Great Module!
15 - Monique, 06/09/2007 20:24:51
I'd love this if I could do either of these: use week view (currently you can only choose month or agenda view) or select a limit for the agenda view. The agenda view pulls every single thing on the calendar including holidays. Otherwise, I love this module.
16 - Philippe, 07/09/2007 23:30:52
New version 1.1 :

++ Week view added
++ Multiple calendars support added
** Some optimisations...
17 - Monique, 08/09/2007 4:42:09
Wow! This version 1.1 is great! Thank you.
18 - Daniel, 09/09/2007 17:11:13
Hi!
Since the version 1.1 I have no longer access to my calendar!
I don't know why!
Please can you help?
Thanks in advance!
19 - Philippe, 09/09/2007 17:50:37
Which OS, navigator please?
Try to remove my module, then re-add it to your Netvibes, and setup your calendar again...
And if you want, you can send me your calendar url at philippe.granet+netvibes at gmail.com, it will help me to solve the problem...
20 - willou, 10/09/2007 15:31:52
I cant get this to work :(
the only think i got was a calendar about rugby... even if i remove all calendars, seems it replace my own calendars with the rugby one.
I think about some kind of brainwashing to put me watch the match... (lol :D)
21 - Philippe, 10/09/2007 16:29:40
Yes, the module is buggy, but I think it's a bug of Netvibes...
I have open a thread for it in developpers forum...
22 - Philippe, 10/09/2007 20:44:30
Sorry, it is a bug in my module...

New version 1.2 :

--Correction of a bug...
23 - b`rad, 10/09/2007 22:39:46
I still cannot get this to work after 1.2. I have deleted and re-added the module. I keep getting error "Sorry, Calendar is unavailable."
24 - Philippe, 11/09/2007 1:10:55
The error "Sorry, Calendar is unavailable." is a google error...
Your HTML calendar link is ok? It should be someting like : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=yourname@gmail.com
25 - Philippe, 11/09/2007 1:54:38
New version 1.3 :
**Optimisations for "specials" urls like b`rad 's one...
26 - Bill, 12/09/2007 4:29:20
I just saw that you created a new version to fix a \"huge bug\" and I thought it would address my problem, but it didn\'t. This is a fantastic widget. However, the calendar will only show my information if, in another tab, I go to Google Calendars, see my stuff, shut down that tab, and refresh Netvibes. Its odd, I know, but it happens on multiple computers. Thanks.
27 - Phil, 18/09/2007 15:32:44
Your calendar seems to be private...
So your calendar url should have a PRIVATE key, like :

http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mymail@gmail.com&pvttk=privateKey

For help to find the PRIVATE url, go here : http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37103
28 - melps, 19/09/2007 5:39:04
Ver 1.3
Great widget. Using it with Google.

Having four Calendar Link is great.
Suggestions:
>Display each link in a different color.
>Include Google sign-in as an option for private calendars.
29 - Tibus, 19/09/2007 10:47:18
EXCELLENT !!!

I was looking for months :)

Lot better than the popular one !
As asked by melps, a different color by calendar should be nice !
30 - Phil, 20/09/2007 0:25:16
New version 1.4 :
++ Display each calendar in a different color...

<melps> :
For private calendars, use private urls with a PRIVATE key, like :

http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=mymail@gmail.com&pvttk=privateKey
31 - Starter, 21/09/2007 10:30:59
Hello, your module is amazing and it works great for me. Thank you for your work. One suggestion, I love the new feature of different colours for different calendars, but it is not the colour I would like. Can I somehow choose from several colours for a calendar, like in the Google interface? Anyway, I have tried several GCal modules, and yours works just right. Thanks again.
32 - Phil, 21/09/2007 11:31:52
Ok, I will add a color selector option for each calendar...
33 - Dave, 25/09/2007 16:26:44
Fantastic! Would be nice to have more calendars... say 10
34 - Babapt, 25/09/2007 23:09:02
Salut!

35 - Philippe, 26/09/2007 1:40:26
Bonsoir,
Dave:when I will have time, i will do it :)
Babbapt:

En fait, l\'affichage des calendriers multiples ne marche que si tout les calendriers sont publics OU si tu es loggué sur GCalendar...
Il s\'agit apparemment d\'un bug ou limitation de google.
Tu peux signaler l\'incident chez Google ici :

37 - rrose selavy, 28/09/2007 15:23:55
thank you for this widget.
i have a single problem with it, which seems an easy one to solve, yet i've been unable to. i am in the eastern us time zone. my netvibes is set "est" and my google calendar is set "est", yet when i schedule a time on my calendar it shows up 6 hours later on my widget. any simple solutions staring me in the face here?
tia,
rrose
38 - Philippe, 28/09/2007 16:35:12
if you try to configure your calendar here :

http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper.html

=> have you got the same problem? if yes, it's a Google bug...
39 - rrose, 28/09/2007 20:10:10
dear philippe,
thanks so much for the quick reply.
i use a flash drive at work running a linux distro which although showing the correct time, was not properly set for eastern daylight time. all is well in the world now. least i wish it was.
thanks for you time and wonderful widget
40 - Ed, 30/09/2007 4:45:47
It works wonderfully, but there is one glitch when I use a calendar from a google-hosted account. Our work email is hosted by google, so it's still gmail but the url is slightly different (mail.google.com/a/ourdomain.com/ ...etc). The events appear, but all the times are 7 hours early. We're in the US Pacific time zone (GMT +08:00).

Is there any way I can tweak this into working?
41 - davidk007, 01/10/2007 10:59:13
Great!!!
Thank you very much for this module. It works!!!
42 - LW, 03/10/2007 5:28:15
thanks for this great module. only problem I have is I can't get it to display more than two calendars. it won't paste in a third calendar url, and when I typed one in the space, it didn't show up and when I looked back the url was somehow erased. any ideas? thanks
43 - Philippe, 03/10/2007 13:30:38
LW : your calendars are public or private?
Multiples calendriers only works if all your calendars are publics...
It's a bug or limitation of google...
44 - j., 16/10/2007 23:21:01
"***How about "ajax" type insert boxes to add appointments? "

I second this request, though it seems like it may be a limitation of the calendar being in an iframe?? The calendar works - or more accurately, fails -- in the same way on http://www.google.com/calendar/embed/EmbedHelper.html, where it is also in an iframe.

Without that functionality, the google calendar is just not the same.
45 - Colours, 25/10/2007 18:04:07
Im using a theme (dark one) but this widget doesnt use theese colours so it looks kind a bright compared to the rest of my netvibes page ....

What about a function to not see the time in the calendar ?
46 - Philippe, 26/10/2007 14:51:20
j. : I don't add that functionality because I don't want to manage Google authentication. And you have the link : "Create event"...
Colours : "not see the time" => what do you want to say? there is a "Date" option in the module. Is it this?
I will add background color in next release...
47 - Russell, 31/10/2007 16:13:53
Phil - is this supposed to work with hosted calendars? I tried adding my hosted calendar (private html link) and I get an error.
48 - Philippe, 05/11/2007 19:46:14
Russell : what do you mean with "hosted" calendar?
49 - Russell, 05/11/2007 22:02:23
It is the "Google Apps" version (it was previously known as Hosted):
http://www.google.com/a/
50 - Philippe, 06/11/2007 13:45:54
Ok, I never test my module with this kind of calendar...
Can you give me an example of a private html link for hosted calendar ?
51 - Russell, 06/11/2007 15:38:04
I replaced my personal information in the below link (domain.com, email@domain.com, and the pvttk)
https://www.google.com/calendar/hosted/domain.com/embed?src=email@domain.com&pvttk=KEY
52 - Philippe, 07/11/2007 0:27:01
Ok, it should works now...
53 - Russell, 07/11/2007 3:05:52
Yep - works great. Thanks!
54 - Mitko, 21/11/2007 23:55:10
Hi, the widget is great!
What I would like to see is to enter more than four calendars.
Is it possible to do it?
55 - Philippe, 27/11/2007 16:19:20
Yes, it's possible... Perhaps in new release...
56 - justin, 28/11/2007 3:55:26
"For private calendars, use private urls with a PRIVATE key"

could someone help me with this? where do i obtain the private key.. i get the whole private url deal but i can't see my calendar without having it open in another browser tab.. etc
57 - justin, 28/11/2007 3:59:00
nevermind you can use

http://username:pass@google.com/calendar/whatever

works great
58 - Danie, 03/01/2008 20:34:58
I get it to work fine on my Netvibes page because I can edit the settings and set the HTML link. But when installing the Vista gadget it gives me no settings to edit and only shows the Rugby World Cup calendar.
59 - Simon, 04/01/2008 18:59:58
I can;t make this work! Could you go through it step by step philippe?
60 - Philippe, 08/01/2008 20:06:24
Simon:
send me a private message with the calendar you want to display (click on the "Report a problem with this widget" button at the top of this page)
Danie:
I will look at it when I will have some time and internet at home...
61 - André Reinink, 09/01/2008 15:56:58
Still having problems with dates. Sometimes an appointment is displayed correctly, sometimes an appointment is displayed as +2extra, +1 extra.
Using Firefix or Internet Explorer doesn't make any difference.
Anybody having the same problems?
62 - Philippe, 09/01/2008 19:16:42
yes, I have seen this google bug...
Try to increase the "Height Size" parameter in the widget
63 - André Reinink, 10/01/2008 11:19:26
Seems to be working!
Thank you very much for your response.

64 - Curt, 30/01/2008 1:11:12
Hey P: Lovely widget you've made. Unfortunately, I can't make it synch up with my Google calendar. I wonder what I'm doing wrong. I use a Google calendar at work, using a non-Gmail domain account. I tried to drop the URL of the calendar into your widget but none of the events migrated. Very very frustrating. Maybe I should go back to chalk on a slate. Any idea what I'm doing wrong, or am I trying to do something the widget's not designed to do? curthopkins @ gmail dot com.
65 - Philippe, 31/01/2008 14:07:04
" use a Google calendar at work, using a non-Gmail domain account" => I think it is the problem...
What do you mean with " a non-Gmail domain "?

Your HTML calendar link should be someting like :
http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=yourname@gmail.com...

If not, can you give me the url of your calendar or an example?
66 - Niko, 31/01/2008 15:24:25

67 - Philippe, 31/01/2008 19:30:02
Niki : l'adresse doit ressembler à https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=nikojamet@gmail.com&&pvttk=ta_cle_prive

Comment trouver cette URL privée : http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37103
68 - Dan, 13/02/2008 17:07:07
Is there any chance of being able to add more than four calendars? I have eight... :)
69 - Philippe, 14/02/2008 23:27:19
eight!!! Ok I will study a solution when I will have time...
70 - guterkuchen, 04/03/2008 20:23:45
i like it! check out my Goolge Search Widget. Its very minimal and has nice animations.
you can configure it to use Live Search and Yahoo search too!

http://eco.netvibes.com/widgets/231453/google-live-yahoo-search
71 - lukbut_1, 05/03/2008 12:29:51
how do you set it up in windows vista??
72 - Philippe, 05/03/2008 14:09:28
I don't have test it on Vista... It doesn't work?
73 - Philippe, 05/03/2008 14:41:30
guterkuchen : Thanks for spam in EcoSystem...
74 - Axl, 18/03/2008 21:25:05
I cant get my personal calendar to show. only the ghana world cup... I have private calendar. what should i do?
75 - Philippe, 19/03/2008 0:29:26
Enter a Google Calendar HTML address (like this one : http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=ceu36jkk9lhmlr872917if80bg%40group.calendar.google.com).

Where can you find your calendar\\\'s address (HTML feed)? => http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=37103
76 - Rhys, 19/03/2008 18:25:29
Hello, great widget, one of my favourites, second only to facebook.

I was just wondering if you're going to include a fix for the multiple public and private calendars. At the moment all I have is one private personal calendar which works fine and then the google public holidays one, which doesn't work with my private one. If not is there a way to cover the public to a private?

Cheers, great work.
77 - Rhys, 19/03/2008 18:29:13
Sorry to double post.

I meant "convert" not "cover"
78 - Philippe, 21/03/2008 14:54:22
Rhys : you are on IE? Have you tried in Firefox?
79 - Philippe, 21/03/2008 14:58:52
From Google :
http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?hl=en-in&answer=82902

If you're embedding multiple calendars but are seeing the error message "Events from one or more calendars could not be shown here because you do not have the permission to view them," it may be because one or more of the selected calendars is private. Keep in mind that it's not possible to display a private calendar and a public calendar in the same embeddable calendar.
80 - Philippe, 21/03/2008 15:30:27
And here :
http://groups.google.com/group/google-calendar-help-howto/browse_thread/thread/9f95f4f3ef286904/6621384382e2d3a9

So, it should be possible to embed multiple private calendars and
allow certain users (with whom you've added to the calendar's shared
list) to view your embedded calendar when they are signed in to Google
Calendar. But, it's not currently possible to embed multiple private
calendars and allow non-Google Calendar users or folks who aren't
logged in to see those calendars.
81 - lukbut_1, 26/03/2008 21:02:13
hey sorry i took so long to reply, nope it doesnt work. there are no options you can configure and you're stuck with the ghana world cup calendar.
82 - MadQuark, 27/03/2008 12:44:58
I love this widget. It's very useful.
A minor question: I think that the font size of Agenda is so big, any way to reduce it?
83 - Philippe, 27/03/2008 15:16:54
MadQuark : No, I can't change font size...
84 - MadQuark, 29/03/2008 12:11:52
Thanks anyway. It's a great widget
85 - Yue, 03/04/2008 20:37:16
I'd also like to be able to use more calendars. I use GCal with Remember the Milk, so RTM takes up 2 calendars on its own; one for adding new tasks, and one for task due dates.
86 - David, 26/04/2008 22:37:37
This is very neat, is there a way to use it with google apps to where it shows everything as if you are logged into your calendar?

Great work!
